I’ve been using the PC900 for about 1 month. Battery life is good. Excellent built in wireless networking as well as wired. Great machine for email and web sufing. Video chat is also good with the built in camera and mic delivering very good quality. VERY SMALL machine weighs just 2 pounds & can almost fit in your pocket. Fits easily into any briefcase and you hardly know it’s there. It comes loaded with a great bunch of software, ie: Open Office. Not much you can’t do with this suite. One word of caution- you need to be slightly familiar with Linux. As delivered, this machine will NOT run Windows apps. Windows XP can be installed, but the machine will be quite slow. If you want a tiny lightweight laptop for web and email use when you’re away from home…THIS IS THE ONE !

This is a very good computer, it does all I could want..I am not the latest techie, but I picked up how to operate and surf with this item very easily. Excellent navigability and fluidity, in many ways superior to microsoft. And the price is an outstanding value.. a must buy.
I was unsure of what to expect with Linux but now I prefer it.

I purchased this for my wife, since she had never became comfortable with her Dell laptop. She found it frustrating, since the way you do things often changed The ASUS Eee PC is very simple to use. You turn it on and in about 30 seconds , it is up and running. You just select the area you want to use ( ie, like email) and it presents you with the most popular choices, like hotmail , gmail and yahoo. Click on Yahoo and you are signed on and ready to ready your emails. The machine is very light and easy to carry. It is a good looking machine. It has all of the functions that an average user will need for normal activities. I would like to have one for my own use, but I guess I’ll have to use her old laptop, since she doesn’twant to share her new machine.

I liked the idea of this and anxiously awaited its arrival. Unfortunately, the screen size and keyboard were just too small for me to get used to. I think if I were between 15-30ish, with great eyesight and tiny fingers, it would work just fine. I had to send it back and get an HP 14.1" screen laptop for $300 more, which fit my "age-related challenges" much better! A shame, though, because it’s just so darned CUTE.

I love this book bag i bought the black one . it is heavy duty and not to bulky

I was very stressed when I decided to buy my Optoma GrayWolf 92 inch 16?9 1.8 gain projection screen. According to posts on AVS Forum I had to worry about: finding a discounted online retailer that would ship me the right product (the Graywolf has the same product number as Optoma?s white screen), the screen surviving shipping damage (large dents in the roll-up housing reported) and a horizontal line across the image area from a plastic sheet used for packing (more on this later). I?m happy to say I avoided all these headaches and received an intact screen at a reasonable price.

I arrived at the Graywolf after a long research journey through DIY screens. Before the low priced Graywolf crossed my browser, I was ready to buy a four by eight sheet of plastic corrugated sheeting for a screen, masked in a border of velvet and cropped by an elaborate draping system for different aspect ratios. All this DIY work became unattractive when I couldn?t figure out the sales at the local fabric store and how to strap the plastic to the roof of my SUV without a major accident. The Graywolf?s sub $200 price beat the DIY project?s time and effort.

The Optoma Graywolf is a retro-reflective retractable screen. A brighter image is reflected off the screen the closer your head is to the projector (within a sub 20 degree angle). It is said to work best with projector mounted in low height cabinets and on coffee tables. AVS forum members warn against the use of this screen with ceiling mounted projectors. My Sanyo PLV-Z3 LCD projector is ceiling mounted.

When seated (below the proper viewing angle from my projector and this screen) I lose brightness. Not so much that the projected image disappoints. In fact when I stand up into the proper viewing angle the screen can seem too bright and over-saturated (I?ve calibrated from my seated sweet spot after all). When you move too far to one side of the screen?out of the proper viewing cone?you lose brightness, blacks wash out and colors shift and fade.

The Graywolf shipped with a clear plastic sheet rolled up into the top half of the screen. When you remove the plastic you will notice a difference of the reflectivity of the image area crystals under the plastic versus those outside it. This leaves a faint band across the top third of the screen that you will only notice during scenes with large areas of flat, light color (like an overcast sky or an endless white room). The band has not faded away for me in the last nine months of ownership.

Like all screens that are not on a rigid frame the Graywolf has some ripples. The ripples are as noticeable as the top band from the plastic, with little to no impact on the majority or your viewing. You?ll only see them in some slow panning scenes and across flat, bright colors. I still get a perfectly rectangular image from the projector onto the screen.

The return retraction of the screen is a little sticky and violent when you do get it to retract. Luckily, WifeoGeek has not requested the screen to hide up in its valance when not in use. It just hangs around all day, waiting for another night of movie watching.

I hung the Graywolf from my ceiling with large ceiling hooks. After careful measurements, I was able to level the screen in three dimensions.

The Graywolf?s 16?9 image area is a dark gray behind its layer of retro-reflective crystals. The gray surface enhances perception of black level, increasing the screen?s contrast. I assume my blacks are better than on an equivalent white screen. The enhanced blacks when mixed with a high contrast image (like Naomi Watts against the Skull Island sunset in Peter Jackson?s King Kong (finally watched it over two nights, spectacular looking DVD)) give the image a deep 3D picture that pushes back into the screen beyond its 2D surface.

The Graywolf is my first front projection screen and I?m very impressed. For the price, you can?t beat this screen?s value to complement entry level front projectors (like my Sanyo PLV-Z3). You get high contrast, deeper blacks than a movie theater, and great screen geometry despite some ripples.

Build a valance with fancy crown moulding to impress the wife (or just for her to allow the screen and its elementary school retractable box in the room) like I did (well, like my wife requested our carpenter build, I painted it matte black though) and you?ll be on your way to an affordable, high performance home theater.

I think that this laptop is a good answer to my expectations for having a ultramobil PC.The aluminium case, the sound and the weight are very good. However as linux user, i must to say that the O.S. choosed, Suse Enterprise, it’s too much poor (it is very rare for HP tradition). The equipment crashed often and linux shell is very limited… I made the upgrade to Opensuse 11 KDE and the improvement was amazing, but driver search was not easy, so my advice is: purchase with linux, only if you have enough time and knowledge to fix all software issues.

i am sorry about my english i am Mexican, i buy hp mini note from amazon.com in the past i have a problem with hp product with a ipaq windows mobile i promise to my self that not buy any HP product again. but i buy this item and return in only 5 days. It becuame extremly hot cant used, the battery was not working it past 45 minutes to only charge one 1 % from 14% to 15% 45 minutes? i leave 24 hours charing and only go to 30 % i recieved a SHOCK when i conected to the light with the adapter, contact hp with chat online and they recomeend me to return the product.
i buy ACER ONE windows xp i am realy happy with the new portable if you trust in a Mexican opinion dont buy this item…

After reading several reviews of different minis I decided on the HP 2133. Fast service and deliver via Amazon (as usual) and I had it with a few days. I do not find that the 2133 runs as hot as a lot of people have said in the past, no hotter than any other laptop I’ve owned. The built in wireless is great, picks up the weakest signal and runs with it. The 120 GB HD is more than ample for my needs. RUnning Linux instead of Windows Anything is the way to go for sure. Boots fast, hasn’t locked up and multi-tasks lots it’s on steroids.

More than worth the money. Buy one now.

This is a great product but you are pretty much forced into choosing vista (which is horrible) as an operating system. If you were to be able to choose XP you would have a much faster operating system. With only a 1 gb processor the vista really slows it down. Its a shame that Microsoft pushes this product on you.
